Sony has announced this new game called Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale and guess what? It’s like Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers, but with Sony characters. How awesome is that?
The game is set to release around the holiday season in 2012 and will obviously be a Playstation exclusive. SuperBot Entertainment is developing this game, and confirmation has proven that it will have online multiplayer as well as offline multiplayer, much like Super Smash Bros. Brawl – but since it’s Sony the online will actually matter (ZING!). Anyway, a few characters have already been announced. The game will definitely include Sly Cooper, Kratos, Radek, PaRappa the Rapper, Sweet Tooth, and Fat Princess as well as many more I’m sure. According to Chan Park, President of SuperBot Entertainment, the game will include “nearly two decades of characters, worlds, and themes from the Playstation universe”.
As far as gameplay goes, there will be three levels of super moves for each character. Game Director Omar Kendall detailed Kratos, his first level super will be a sword slash attack that impacts combatants near him while his second level involves slamming his sword on the ground creating a cyclone that inflicts damage to players on the ground or above him. In his third level super he gains the Ares Armor and also a whole new move set for the duration of the super attack. As far as environments go, you can expect levels for each character – which with be themed based off the game. You can expect to see levels from games such as LittleBigPlanet, Buzz!, and Patapon.
Last but definitely not least, SuperBot confirmed that third-party game characters will be included in the game. So it wont be strictly Sony titles involved, making for a lot of diversity. For more information on the charcters and tons of in-game footage, check out this episode of GT.TV!
So, is this game like totally exciting or what? I can’t wait to hear more information! I’ll be sure to post updates about this game on linksaveszelda.com so be sure to stay tuned!

A lot of people seem to be giving this game a lot of negativity, due to it being similar to SSB. I don’t see a problem, maybe this will push Nintendo to get the online right on the next one. I’ve always loved the SSB serious, every. single. one. This should be interesting though.
I think people are just afraid of change, the game looks great
Plus Nintendo fanboys are hardcore.
