So aside from Telltale’s Walking Dead Episodic games, Activision announced that they are making an FPS/Action game based on AMC’s The Walking Dead T.V. series. The game is being developed by Terminal Reality and will revolve around the character Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle as they make their way to Atlanta. Players will control Daryl and can choose to fight the zombies off, or use stealth to avoid being detected by them.
Activision States:
“No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new, post-apocalyptic world.”
Players will need to carefully manage food, supplies, and ammunition as it will all be scarce. Daryl will encounter many other characters along the way that may help or hurt him, these character may or may not follow Daryl through the game. It’s up to the player to decide what will happen, as Activison says:
“[This] represents just some of the major decisions that will constantly be made while fighting to survive.”
Very few other details are available other than that it will be released some time in 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Check out the game’s official site for any other details I may have missed and enjoy this awesome teaser trailer below:

I can’t say I’m too excited for a game based on the show! I prefer Telltale’s approach..
Did you not like the show as much as the comic? I’m super exited for this, I love the show and Daryl is my favorite so this is looking awesome.
I prefer the comics more! The first season of the show was amazing, but I have to admit that the second season disappointed me
I see. I really liked all of it, but I have never read the comics so maybe that is why
Also like the comics, have to agree with The Pixie about the second season not been as good as the first but will definitely be getting this
I like the way the offical site flashes up bloodsoaked zombie before it looks for your age oh O!
Hopefully there will be co-op like dead island.
Co-op would be awesome. I’d like some split-screen co-op to be honest, not enough games have that these days. But any kind of co-op would be fun
