Not a whole lot of details have been released on this “Best” version of Metal Gear Solid 4, but what has been said has been pretty neat.
First of all the new version will have trophy support, whereas the previous version had no trophies. This is great news for people who love to trophy hunt and who also want to accomplish more with Metal Gear Solid 4. These trophies will be added as a patch to the existing game and will be available on the new version of the game coming in August to Japan, no word on the United States or European dates just yet.
The other cool thing is that the new version of the game will feature full game install, making load times faster. It’s not certain how long the install will take, but it is certain that the install isn’t necessary. So if players choose not to install they can still play the game just fine, but with longer Snake smoking breaks (aka loading screens).
