‘Sound Shapes’ Out Today On The PlayStation Network

Sound Shapes in a 2D musical platformer, and every level of the game is a song. Your goal is to gather notes from around the level to create the song while also interacting with the creatures and objects throughout the level which act as musical instruments. Players may also make their own levels with the creatures, notes, and songs of their choice. A full level editor and online community are parts of the game, allowing you to create and share across the world with PS Vita and PS3 players alike (regardless of which version you have).

Interesting, right? Well, that’s not all. Matthew Kumar of the Sound Shapes team writes:

“We’ve worked with different graphic and musical artists on each album of level-songs, with the likes of Shaw-Han in his I am Robot and Proud guise, Deadmau5, Jim Guthrie and Beck working with graphic artists like Vic Ngyuen of Capy, Pyramid Attack, PixelJam and Superbrothers.”

If you are into musical adventures and platformers, this is the game for you.

It’s available now for $14.99 on the PlayStation Network. If you are a PS+ member, the game is on sale for $11.99 this week only. Sound Shapes is also a part of the PSN Play promotion, so if you buy this as well as another eligible game (or games) you will receive and increasing amount money back. For those of you with a PS Vita, this is a cross-play title, meaning you will receive both the PS Vita and PS3 version for one price.
