Beta Signups For Xbox Live Update

Xbox Live is being updated yet again, and they’d like a lucky few to test it out before the official update drops this fall. Microsoft would like testers to gain early access to the update and fill them on on what they think of the new features.

Microsoft states:

The beta is an early build of the product and enables Microsoft to gather important feedback from customers and to test new features, such as voice commands and Bing voice search in new languages. All participants who register for this beta will be required to agree and adhere to an NDA that will not allow them to speak or write about the experience.

There isn’t a lot of room in the beta, so sign up soon. If you are selected, the update will be pushed to your Xbox when the beta period begins. Some of the new features include:

  • Internet Explorer for Xbox
  • Personalized dashboard recommendations
  • Enhanced category search and discovery features

To sign up for the beta, go here. You’ll have to sign in an create a profile if you have not done so already, then agree to the NDA and fill out a small survey of information. They will let you know immediately if you have been chosen or not and give you instructions on what to do next.

Battlefield 4 Confirmed

EA has yet to reveal anything official on Battlefield 4, but we know for sure that it is in the works. If you pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition you will get access to the Battlefield 4 beta that begins next year. The pre-order must occur before MoH:W is released on October 23 for the PS3, 360, and PC. EA says that the beat will start up sometime in the fall of 2013.

President of EA Labels, Frank Gibeau, states:

Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor Warfighter each offer players a completely unique experience, they are united by their underlying technology base – Frostbite. These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity, and shooter entertainment.

So keep all that in mind when considering whether or not you want MoH:W and access to the Battlefield 4 beta.
