Many trailers have come out of TGS so far, but there were three that I really enjoyed more than the others. They are below, and so are my thoughts on them.
1. Dead Island: Riptide. This trailer is deep, and I mean really deep. I started watching it expecting to find some zombies and some people killing them but what I found was an emotional, wordless story about two people caught in the madness of the outbreak. This two minute trailer left me wanting to see more about this game, and I actually had to watch it a few times just to get it out of my system since I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
2. Crysis 3. The new TGS trailer promises that the game will “blow your mind”, all I can say is that it already has. This game is not getting released until next year, but I can already tell it will rock the charts with it’s epic gameplay and killer story.
3. Injustice: Gods Among Us. I’m not really much of a fighting game person, but for some reason this trailer leaves me wanting this game. I don’t know whether it’s because it’s unique or because it includes DC Comics super heroes and villains, but I want it.
So now that E3 2012 is officially over, I thought I would take this opportunity to re-cap the entire expo here, on linksaveszelda.com! Fun, right? No? Well anyway, I wanted to go over some of the highlights and disappointments of this years … Continue reading
Some photos surfaced this morning for the upcoming game Crysis 3. They are awesome pictures, so have a gander and enjoy.
As mentioned above, this article also comes with a complimentary Assassin’s Creed III teaser, here it is.
This teaser is very short but oh man, it’s so cool! Both these games will be day one purchases for me, most likely through preordering them.
So it’s April 24th and you know what that means: Crysis 3 gameplay! Gametrailers.com posted the reveal of Crysis 3 ain all it’s glory, check it out:
This game is set to release sometime in 2013 so we have awhile to wait, but man does it look amazing. The game is being developed on the CryEngine 3, Crytek’s newest game engine. If you thought Crysis and Crysis 2 looked great, you will be in for a surprise with this one.
“It’s time to dawn the nanosuit and take back the greatest city on Earth in Crysis 3, Crytek’s upcoming first-person shooter built with CryEngine 3.”
The video description from Gametrailers.com says it all, enjoy folks!
EA officially announced Crysis 3 today, following up on last weeks leak of information. The game is set to come out in Spring 2013 on the newest CryENGINE – which, if I may add, is absolutely gorgeous!
In the third installment in the Crysis series you will play as Lawrence “Prophet” Barnes in a fight against the Cell Corporation, back in New York City. The city has been encased in a nanodome by Cell which has caused the City to turn into a “veritable rainforest teaming with overgrown tress, dense swamplands and raging rivers” according to EA in their press release earlier today. Inside this dome there are seven distinct environments referred to as the “Seven Wonders”. The new and dangerous world calls for some new and equally dangerous weaponry and tactics. Prophet will be equiped with a super awesome composite-bow as well as plenty of other weaponry, an advanced nanosuit, and a plethora of alien technology to make him into the most deadly and efficient killer in the world.
The mission is a revenge mission for Prophet as he tries to uncover the truth about Cell and stop them. Cell told the civilians that the nanodomes were put in place to protect them from the Ceph, but in reality it is Cell’s way of gaining power and alien tech to dominate the world. Ceph and humans alike will be your enemies, “Nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet’s quest for redemption.”
Chief Executive of Crytek Cevat Yerli stated “Crysis 3 is a thrilling mix of sandbox gameplay, advanced combat and hi-tech human and alien weaponry that shooter fans will love, leveraging the latest CryENGINE technology, we’re able to deliver seven unique themes that offer stunning and visually loaded gameplay experiences. We cannot wait until people get their hands on the game.”
The game is now available for pre-order and Crytek also let us know that the Hunter Edition of the game will offer plenty of multiplayer goodies such as an XP boost, early composite-bow access, a bow skin, and 3 unique dog tags.
In addition to the Hunter Edition, select retailers are offering other packs of the game including the Stalker Pack, Overkill Pack, and Predator Pack. More information on these will be available in the source link at the bottom of this post.
Here is a video slideshow of shots from the game, if you all are interested. It looks marvelous.
