Darksiders 2 – Belial DLC Details

New DLC for Darksiders 2 centers around Belial and is titled “The Demon Lord Belial”. This is the game’s third DLC pack, and will be available December 4 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The pack will cost players $9.99 (800 MSP) unless they have purchased the Darksiders 2 season pass, in which case it will be free.

The Darksiders 2 website describes the DLC:

Little has been said of the struggles on Earth besides the story given to WAR by the Charred Council. Rumors have now surfaced that perhaps the Third Kingdom was not completely destroyed, and remnants of humanity still yet survive!  It falls upon Death to seek out the truth and unearth a forgotten evil… The Demon Lord Belial.

Uncover a new adventure based on a ravaged post-Apocalyptic Earth, where Death will encounter the last remnants of humanity as well as one of his most sinister opponents yet.

Darksiders II and Dark Souls DLC Prices and Dates

Darksiders II is getting new DLC this month called Argul’s Tomb. The release date for this DLC is Septmeber 25 and it will cost you $6.99 (560 MSP). If you picked up the Limited Edition of the game though, this DLC came for free in code form.

Argul’s Tomb includes:

  • Two new dungeons
  • New loot
  • All new boss battles

This DLC will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on the same day.

The Dark Souls DLC is titled Artorias of the Abyss and will be available this Fall on October 23.  This DLC will set you back $14.99 (1,200 MSP), and will be availible for the Xbox 360 and PS3. If you bought the PC version, this DLC was included in the purchase of the game.

Artorias of the Abyss includes:

  • Enhanced PvP battles
  • Sprawling new maps and environments
  • New bosses, characters, and NPCs
  • New weapons and armor
  • More challenging adventures

Darksiders II ‘Death Comes For All’ Trailer

A new trailer has been released for Darksider II, dubbed the ‘Death Comes For All” trailer. In this trailer we finally get to hear the main character, Death, speak for the first time. The trailer gives a little insight to the story of the game, for those of you who may not know what it’s about. We also get to see a glimpse of a battle between Death and War, the main character from the previous game. Darksiders II will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 14, 2012.

Some of you are going to be picking up Darksiders II for the PC and may be curious if your PC can even handle the game. Well be curious no longer, below are all the details on what you will need to run this game. Don’t forget, the game will be released on all platforms (including PC) on August 14, 2012.

Minimum specs:

  • OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista SP1 or Windows 7
  • Processor: 2.0Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor or AMD equivalent
  • RAM: 2GB

Darksiders II Will Have Season Pass For DLC

Darksiders II players are being given the option to get a season pass for the game’s DLC. Strangely, it’s not as simple as most “purchase season pass = get DLC” passes, here’s the scoop:

There are multiple types of season passes and the content depends one where the game is pre-ordered. There are also prerequisites depending on which edition of the game you choose (collectors, limited, or standard). THQ offers the details on the subject:

  • If you pre-order (from anywhere) Argul’s Tomb is free since you’ll automatically be upgraded to the Limited Edition. Packs 2 and 3 can then be purchased at a discounted rate through the Season Pass.
  • If you pre-order from ShopTHQ you get packs 1-3 for free (since you get the Limited Edition and the Season Pass).
  • If you don’t pre-order you can buy Argul’s Tomb and the other packs individually, or you can buy Argul’s Tomb and the Season Pass.

The details for the collectors edition can be seen on the image below:

The limited edition is included in the collectors edition, but can also be pre-ordered at no addition cost, so it sells for standard retail price. The limited edition includes the Argul’s Tomb DLC.

So, can you figure all that out? Sounds pretty complicated for a season pass.
