Epic Games Sets Up In Baltimore, Helps Out Big Huge Games

As I am sure a lot of you know, 38 Studios underwent a bit of a tragedy resulting it a shut down of it’s studios and a company wide layoff of employees – including Big Huge Games, the team who brought us Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

Epic Games (Bulletstorm, Gears of War, etc.) have decided to open a studio in Baltimore, Maryland and is offering to help out with those who lost their jobs over at 38 Studios. Epic said in a blog post:

“There’s a million things to work out. How many of the team can we hire? What will it be called? What will they be working on? We don’t know all the answers yet. Please give us some time to figure it out; we hope to have more to share soon.”

It’s very generous of Epic to do this for those people, also this could mean a Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning sequel, if Epic can get the rights back. Whatever the case, this is a good thing. I will be on the lookout for more information.

So, for those of you who play this game, there has been a DLC announced and it will be released on March 20th. I am personally really excited for this, but my only issue is that A) I haven’t even finished the entire game yet, and B) Mass Effect 3. I’m in quite a pickle here, but I know I will definitely be getting this and I will play it… At some point.
