25 Days of Favorites – Day 15

There are so many games coming out next year, making this category a gambit. It’s hard to choose just one. I mean with games like Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, and Gears of War Judgement how does one pick a single game as a favorite upcoming game? I thought about it for awhile, which I do for most of these pieces because it’s always tough to narrow down the playing field and pick one single game. The game I came up with is an interesting one, since it’s a little under the radar at the moment. My favorite upcoming game just so happens to be:

Fuse is an upcoming action shooter that happens to be a four player co-op multiplayer type of thing. One reason I picked this one above all the other amazing titles coming up is for that multiplayer. I have needed a new game to play with my friends, we used to play Left 4 Dead all the time but don’t see each other much anymore and since we all want this game I see it pulling us back together. I know, cliche sentiment, but it’s the truth. In the game you can play with four other players as partners, each playing as one of the game’s interesting characters. The game can be played solo too, and if you play solo you can switch back and fourth between the characters which is neat as well. Either way, this game sure does look like a lot of fun, check it out:

After watching that, you can hopefully understand why I think this game looks so awesome. I really like the story direction, with the Fuse weapons and differentiated characters. I am 99.9% sure I’m playing as Izzy, and I think I will totally lover her play style and personality. The other three main characters look cool too, but she really stood out to me. As I said above, there are so many other games coming out and I know that everyone’s first thought goes to them when thinking of which game you are looking forward to the most. Mine did too, but I really wanted to dig around and pull up something that wasn’t what everyone knows and is excited for, and I am legitimately super excited for this game!

So all in all, Fuse looks pretty sweet. I have to say this it is in my top 3 most anticipated games coming out next year, and there are oh so many. Be sure to check out my write up on this game if you are interested in seeing more or whatever. It’s up to you. Choose wisely.

Honorable Mention:

Tomb Raider

  1. The game looks awesome, and I share your sentiments on not playing with others as much. I’d like to pick a multiplayer game, but with Halo recently purchased, and still rarely playing with people, I’ve enjoyed single-player games a lot in the latter part of this past year, most of the year actually. So my pick is Metal Gear Rising. It looks intense, and it looks like you’ll be overpowered, which I love in action games after I beat them and master them. Not only that, but the game’s art design is amazing.

My Honorable Mention goes to Tomb Raider. Because everything about that game looks hot.

    • Single-player is usually the way I go as well, I enjoy a good story. But I like to have a multiplayer game here and there so that I can be social, since I guess that’s normal or whatever haha.

  2. Fuse does look interesting, I’d only heard a little about it until now. I’ll keep an eye on it, I like to see new IPs.

GTAV is my most anticipated game. Rockstar North never disappoints. This game is going to be HUGE and filled with content to keep me happy for a long time.

    • I’m honestly not excited for GTAV, sadly. I’m sure it will be great, but I never could get into GTA games and while I have tried in the past I cannot seem to do it. The last one I truly liked was San Andreas and even then, it wasn’t my favorite or anything. D:
