Today is all about my favorite Xbox 360 exclusive. I’ll be honest with you, if it weren’t for this game I’d have myself a tough time because other than the Gears of War series and this series, there isn’t much out there to choose from. Sure, the 360 has plenty of exclusives, but not many of them were/are good. Anyway, this one was kind of a no brainer. I’m sure you’ve even guessed what it is by now, while you’ve been reading this. Well in case you haven’t, let me tell you what it is. My favorite Xbox 360 game is:

Halo 4

Now, you know what this means don’t you? Halo 4 will not be my “Favorite Game of the Year”. So now you have to be thinking to yourself, what will be? Anyway, back to this game, I picked Halo 4 for a variety of reasons. One of them, as I said above, it’s that it’s one of the few good Xbox 360 exclusives. Another reason is for improvement. I didn’t really like the past Halo games very much, I mean the multiplayer was fun but I never cared for the campaign much. My favorite game in the series before Halo 4 was Halo Reach, and I think that is because you get to make your own main character and the storyline was fun. By the end of Halo 3 I was like meh, and I have never finished Halo or played Halo 2. For me, Halo has always been more about the multiplayer than anything else. That being said, Halo 4 blew my mind. The immersive story really surprised me, since I was previously board with the Master Chief.

Along side the awesome story is some fantastic gameplay, which is something I have always liked about Halo. Also, my favorite thing about Halo 4, a gorgeous change of scenery. The art direction that 343 Industries brought to Halo 4 was breathtaking. Not only was the art great though, it was brought to life by some of the best graphics I have ever seen. I’d argue that Halo 4 boasts the best graphics of any 360 game and maybe even any game of this generation. I mean, I originally thought the cutscenes were live action. Then the gameplay started and I thought it was still a cutscene. It was amazing. Add that to beautiful landscapes and amazing gameplay and story and you have one stunning game. Neat stuff, I tell you.

Of course, I have to bring up the multiplayer. The nuances and additions they made to the multiplayer in Halo 4 really brought it up a notch. I mean, I’m all for Halo multiplayer, but it was getting a little stale. The addiction of things like ordinances and the new leveling system really changed the game up, but the change is good. At first I thought it would be hard to get used to the change, but it blends so well with the previous multiplayer setup that I just merged right in with no blinker and my eyes closed. Ok, that was a weird analogy but I hope you catch my drift. All these things put together have made Halo 4 my favorite Xbox 360 exclusive.

Honorable Mention:
